2019 SJMBHL Womens Tier 2 Champions Crowned

On the evening of August 15, the Lumberjacks completed the hard fought sweep over a very challenging opponent in the Goal Diggers.

To show just how close this series was, only 1 goal was given up by either goalie in regulation time.  Game 1 (1-0 Lumberjacks) went to Overtime, Game 2 (1-0 Lumberjacks) ended on a goal with 15 seconds left in 2nd Period and Game 3 (1-0 Lumberjacks) went the distance & to a shoot out.  

Both goalies were incredible throughout the series and major props are deserved by both.

This was as series of inches and the Lumberjacks fought their way through to capture the Womens Tier 2 Championship!  WE THE CHAMPS!!!

Hats off to another fantastic year!!!
